Palong Chicken

                               Palong Chicken 

    List of Ingredients:
1.  Chicken cut in pieces (2 Kg)
2.  Vegetables of choice chopped (1 cup)
3.  Onion sliced or julienned (4 cup)
4.  Garlic (5-6 cloves)
5.  Spinach leaves (500 g)
6.  Tomato puree (1 cup)
7.  Whole red dry chillies (3-4)
8.  Whole Jeera (1 tspn)
9.  Jeera Powder (2 tbl spn)
10. Dhoney Powder (1 tb spn)
11. Red Chilli Powder (1 tbl spn)
12. White Oil
13. sugar (2 tspn)
14. salt (to taste) 

STEP 1 : Here is a look at the primary ingredients for cooking this recipe . Clean the spinach well and chop the vegetables in bite size pieces . In case you don't have tomato puree then just blend some tomatoes .
 
STEP 2 : Cover and cook the spinach with some salt till the leaves wilt down . This helps in taking the raw taste of the spinach leaves away .
 
STEP 3 : Make a puree of the leaves and set aside .
 
STEP 4 : Heat some oil in a deep pan and add in the whole jeera, crushed whole dry red chillies and crushed garlic . Sautee for 2 mins and add in the sliced onions . Add in some salt and sugar .
  
STEP 5 : Add in the tomato puree, the jeera and dhoney powder . Mix in and cook till the onion turns translucent .
 
STEP 6 : Add in the pureed spinach and cook .
 
STEP 7 : Add in the chopped vegetables . And then add in the chicken . 
 
STEP 8 : Then cover and cook for 15-20 minutes till the chicken is cooked . Check and fix the salt .  
 
STEP 9 : Serve with Roti or Naan bread along with a crisp salad .
